Gambit is run by Origin Collective Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 16566341), at 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your name and email address, when you register.
- Whether you asked to hear about new courses, and when you said so.
- When you registered and when you last signed in.
Your lesson progress, assessment results and certificates are currently stored only in your own browser, on your device. We don't see them.
Why we use it
- To give you access to the courses and put your name on your certificates. Our legal basis is providing the service you asked for.
- To email you about new courses, including paid ones, only if you ticked the box. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or writing to us.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes it
Your registration is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts our sign-up database. Parts of the site are also served by GitHub Pages. Both act on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration while you use Gambit, and delete it after two years without a sign-in, or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent for marketing emails. Email [email protected] or write to us at the address above. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
